Amid some uncertainty, Luka Doncic seems to be indicating that a move to the NBA is now imminent.
The Real Madrid star put together another impressive performance on Friday, leading the team to the EuroLeague Final with 16 points and seven rebounds in a 92-83 victory over CSKA Moscow. During a postgame interview, Doncic hinted that he would indeed be leaving for the NBA once the season was over.
“To say goodbye winning the tenth [EuroLeague for Real Madrid] would be very special,” said the 19-year-old, according to Liga ACB’s official website.
Doncic, a 6-foot-8 guard-forward with elite offensive potential, is projected to be a top-of-the-lottery pick in this June’s NBA Draft. Though he had said earlier this week that his mind was not quite made up yet, Doncic now seems set to make the move and has already been linked to one specific NBA team.
