Manu Ginobili’s son had funny reason for being opposed to his retirement
Manu Ginobili ended his NBA career this summer, but there was apparently a member of his family who was staunchly opposed to that decision.
Ginobili’s son Nico apparently told his father not to retire, because the younger Ginobili will miss one of the perks of his father being an NBA player. It’s probably not one of the obvious ones you’d think of, either.
One of Manu's sons begged him not to retire. Apparently Nico Ginobili really, really will miss the chicken tenders in the AT&T Center family room.

Hey, a kid’s got to eat.
All the same, Ginobili announced his retirement at the end of August, with the 41-year-old unwilling to put himself through another season. We’re guessing he and the San Antonio Spurs can work something out to ensure that Nico still gets his chicken tenders when at games.
