Ex-teammate: Darren Collison 50-50 on making NBA return
Darren Collison surprised people around the league when he announced over the summer that he was retiring. The 32-year-old point guard was a free agent and easily could have signed for multiple millions, but he turned it down to focus on his faith.
Since then, there have been some rumors that Collison was contemplating a comeback.
On Thursday, the day of the NBA trade deadline, Matt Barnes said on ESPN that Collison told him via text message that the guard was 50-50 on a return.

Collison and Barnes were teammates at various times over their careers — on the 2013-2014 Clippers and the 2016-2017 Kings. Plus, both players went to UCLA.
Collison was said to be considering the Lakers and Clippers if he were to return. The Clippers made a move at the deadline, adding Marcus Morris as they gear up for a title run. The Lakers did not make any trades but still could add new players.
