Mikhail Prokhorov may be Russian, but that hasn’t stopped him from picking up on a few American sayings.
In fact, he dropped one perfect one when talking about Jason Kidd.
Prokhorov was in the house on Monday to watch his Brooklyn Nets’ home opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team owner spoke with the media and was asked about the departure of Kidd.
Prokhorov gave Kidd his first coaching job even though the former Nets point guard did not have any coaching experience. Kidd ended up essentially forcing his way out of Brooklyn to Milwaukee during the offseason.
So how does Prokhorov feel about Kidd?
“I think there is a nice proverb in English: Don’t let the door hit you where the good Lord has split you.”
