A TV crew working for NBA Entertainment got a little too personal of a welcome to the Bay Area while in town for the NBA Finals this week.
According to the Oakland Tribune, a crew with a van went inside a Panda Express for lunch on Tuesday and got robbed while eating. They came out to their van and saw a window broken. Five laptops worth an estimated $16,000 and TV equipment worth $25,000 were stolen, along with cell phones and personal belongings.
The Panda Express is located in a shopping center nearby Oracle Arena and the Oakland Coliseum. The report says it is a hot spot for theft and other crime, which probably should not be a surprise for anyone familiar with the East Bay.
The only justice would be if the guys who stole the equipment got busted for selling it all back to the cops like this person.
