Just like most basketball fans, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark thinks highly of Denver Nuggets franchise player Nikola Jokic.
During her guest appearance on NBC’s Basketball Night in America on Sunday, Clark expressed her admiration for Jokic before the game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the New York Knicks at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.
“I mean, there’s not many people that average a triple-double,” Clark said.” You’re lucky enough to get maybe a couple of those in a season. He’s done it all year long in back-to-back years. So it’s pretty incredible, and honestly, he’s probably my favorite player to watch. And I think he’s the best player in the world.”
Jokic also had a game on the same night, as he and the Nuggets hosted the Golden State Warriors at Ball Arena in Denver, Colo. After helping the Nuggets secure a 116-93 win, the three-time NBA Most Valuable Player responded to Clark’s praise in true “Joker” fashion.
“We have the same agent. That’s why she said that,” Jokic told reporters, via DNVR Nuggets.
It’s true that Jokic and Clark are represented by the same company, Excel Sports Management. But regardless of their common agent, Clark’s opinion of Jokic can be viewed objectively. There is no denying that Jokic is having another incredible season, and he nearly authored another triple-double on Sunday, scoring 25 points on 10/20 shooting with 15 rebounds and 8 assists in 36 minutes.
So far in the 2025-26 campaign, the 31-year-old Serbian is averaging 27.9 points, 12.9 rebounds and 10.8 assists per game.
