Nikola Jokic to get $148 million from Nuggets
Nikola Jokic is going to be rolling in the dough.
The Denver Nuggets are set to give Jokic a five-year, $148 million contract, as first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Gifted young center Nikola Jokic is poised to accept a five-year, $148M maximum contract to stay with the Denver Nuggets shortly after midnight, league sources tell ESPN.

Jokic was always expected to get the big-money deal from Denver. The 23-year-old Serbian center averaged 18.5 points and 10.7 rebounds per game last season. He teamed with Paul Millsap to give the Nuggets one of the stronger frontcourts in the conference. With Will Barton also staying in Denver, the Nuggets should be able to compete in the West.
