The Denver Nuggets are keeping the door open for Aaron Gordon ahead of Sunday’s do-or-die Game 7.

Nuggets coach David Adelman told reporters Saturday that there is a chance Gordon might be able to suit up despite a left hamstring strain. Adelman confirmed that Gordon participated in Saturday’s walkthrough, but was a true game-time decision for Sunday’s Western Conference semifinals Game 7 against Oklahoma City.

David Adelman said Aaron Gordon is a gametime decision heading into tomorrow’s Game 7.

This is a bit more positive than the initial reports about Gordon’s injury. Still, it is hardly a guarantee that he will play, or that he will be effective if he does suit up.

Gordon suffered the injury late in Thursday’s Game 6, though he did remain in the game. Despite that, he did not contribute much down the stretch, which may have foreshadowed the seriousness of the injury.

The loss of Gordon would be a significant one for the Nuggets’ Game 7 hopes. He has been vital for the team in this playoff run, with a couple crucial game-winning shots to his credit. During the first six games of the Western Conference semifinals, he has averaged 14.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
