Nuggets lose key player to multi-week injury
The Denver Nuggets have gotten off to a slow start this season, and the news got worse for them on Tuesday.
Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon is dealing with a right calf strain that will keep him out for multiple weeks, according to Shams Charania of ESPN. Gordon suffered the injury in Monday night’s win over the Toronto Raptors, as he left after playing just four minutes.

Gordon is one of Denver’s defensive anchors and had also jumped out to a good start shooting in the first seven games of the season. He has averaged 15.4 points per game while shooting 54.5 percent from three-point range.
The Nuggets’ start has not been terrible, but being without Gordon for an extended period will be a significant blow for them. That is particularly true since even the players know shooting could be a weakness for them.
