Pau Gasol had to be taken to the hospital after a bicycle incident in Italy over the weekend, according to a report.
Information shared by Mundo Deportivo via the La Gazzetta dello Sport says that Gasol was in Italy with his girlfriend, as well as former teammate David Lee and his fiancee, Caroline Wozniacki. The group rented bicycles to go around Siena, and Gasol apparently had a fall that led to a hospital visit. The San Antonio Spurs big man was checked out and just had cuts but no fractures.
After getting out of the hospital, Gasol went to the French Open to watch countryman Rafael Nadal win the tournament. Posts from Gasol’s Instagram page show that he both was in Italy recently and also celebrated with Nadal at Roland Garros.
