Raptors All-Star out at least 3 weeks with injury
The Toronto Raptors are going to have a tough road for the next few weeks.
The team announced on Wednesday that Scottie Barnes will miss at least three weeks due to a right orbital fracture. Barnes was injured when he took a forearm/elbow from Nikola Jokic to the face while fighting for a rebound in the final minute of his team’s 127-125 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Monday night.

Barnes received helped walking off the floor and was in clear pain following the incident. He was the team’s leading scorer in the game with 21 points and also had 12 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals.
Barnes is in his fourth NBA season after being drafted No. 4 overall by Toronto in 2021. He was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in his first season and made the All-Star team last season.
Toronto is 1-3 this season. They have 11 games over the next three weeks.
