Report: Cavs seeking additional compensation after Isaiah Thomas physical
The results of Isaiah Thomas’ physical have apparently led the Cavaliers to seek further compensation before finalizing their trade with the Celtics.
A hip injury cut Thomas’ season short after the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals. Surgery wasn’t required and the Cavaliers were initially confident Thomas would not have to miss much (if any) time during the upcoming season. However, the results of Thomas’ physical have given Cleveland reason to ask for more than what they were already slated to receive in the trade that sent Kyrie Irving to Boston.

The agreed upon trade had the Cavaliers receiving Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, and the Nets’ 2018 first-round pick from the Celtics. Now, we will wait and see if another player or pick will be included to entice Cleveland to say yes.
