Rudy Gobert tries to recruit Evan Fournier to Utah after Scott Skiles resigns
Jazz center Rudy Gobert is apparently quite the opportunist.
Fresh off the bombshell news Thursday that Scott Skiles abruptly resigned as head coach of the Orlando Magic, Gobert used the shocked reaction of Magic swingman (and fellow Frenchman) Evan Fournier as an opportunity to try and recruit Fournier to Utah.

Subtle much? The 23-year-old Fournier is actually about to hit restricted free agency this summer. But in reality, the Jazz probably wouldn’t have a ton of playing time to offer him with Gordon Hayward, Alec Burks, and Rodney Hood currently clogging up the wing.
Utah can offer Fournier a bit better of an infrastructure than Orlando can (head coach Quin Snyder was just rewarded with a contract extension despite missing the playoffs in both of his first two years at the helm). But it still seems unlikely also because Orlando can match any offer sheet Fournier signs.
Then again, this is all probably a bunch of baseless speculation stemming from a couple of tongue-in-cheek tweets. The real question is how you say “tampering” in French.
