Russell Westbrook put together a historic performance in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night and dedicated his game to the late Nipsey Hussle.
Westbrook became the first player since Wilt Chamberlain in 1968 to record a 20/20/20 triple-double. He had 20 points, 20 rebounds, and 21 assists in the 119-103 win and talked in his postgame interview about Hussle.

“That wasn’t for me. That was for my bro, man. Nipsey (Hussle). 20 plus 20 plus 20. That was for my bro. Rest in peace, Nipsey,” Westbrook said.
20+20+20=60. Hussle was part of the Rollin 60’s Crips gang in Los Angeles, which explains the tribute. The rapper was shot and killed outside his clothing store in Los Angeles on Sunday. Because of his music and community activism, his death has been taken hard by his legion of fans around the country. Westbrook, who grew up in Los Angeles, went out of his way to pay his respect.
