The Sacramento Kings are making big changes to their coaching staff.
Sacramento fired Mike Brown as their head coach after beginning the season 13-18. They replaced him with Doug Christie, who went 27-24 the rest of the way. The Kings during the week named Christie their head coach, removing his interim tag. They have made some changes surrounding Christie.
According to NBA reporters Sam Amick and Anthony Slater, the Kings are getting rid of Jay Triano, Jawad Williams, Riccardo Fois, Robbie Lemons and Sam Logwood. However, Leandro Barbosa will remain on the staff.
Worth noting that Triano – the former Raptors, Suns and Canadian team head coach – still had time left on his deal.

The Kings have become known for being an impatient group, so it’s no surprise they made some widespread changes with their coaching staff.
Since the Kings let Rick Adelman go in 2006, the team has had 10 different head coaches — not counting those who served as interim coaches in place of coaches who had been fired. The team made the playoffs two seasons ago to break a drought that had lasted since 2006.
This season was a tumultuous one for the Kings, who fired Brown and traded De’Aaron Fox. They finished 40-42 and did not qualify for the postseason.
