Steph Curry’s pregnant wife says Rockets fan bumped into, taunted her
Families of professional athletes are used to being taunted on the road, but Stephen Curry’s wife Ayesha says one Rockets fan crossed the line following Houston’s win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 5.
As Ayesha and some other members of Curry’s family were leaving the Toyota Center on Thursday, a fan began taunting Mrs. Curry and telling her it’s “Houston time.” Here’s a video of the exchange:

While the fan was certainly being obnoxious, it seemed like nothing more than a Rockets supporter talking trash and Ayesha giving it back. However, she is eight months with hers and Steph’s third child, and she said on Twitter Friday that the fan bumped her belly and asked her “doesn’t losing feel like getting punched in the gut?”
The fact that you have the audacity to post this after this man bumped me in my 8 month pregnant belly asking and I quote “doesn’t losing feel like getting punched in the gut?” And continued to follow me and taunt me with his camera is beyond me…but “This is America” right.

I thought it was an accident at first because it was crowded and then he made that gut comment and continued to follow me. I should’ve got him in the face instead of saving his life by removing the cigarette he was swinging around in my face. Wish there was full footage

I don’t have time for this anymore today y’all. It is what it is. I know people see what they see and believe what they choose to believe. I’m done defending myself against weird grown creeps for the day. Praying people like this get help and peace of mind. https://t.co/G581YU3LKW

Curry went on to say that the fans at the Toyota Center were actually “wonderful” and that she only had an issue with the fan in the video and a few others.
Ayesha has opened herself up for criticism by sending some controversial tweets about games in the past, but there’s a difference between banter and getting physical. If a Rockets fan really did bump her intentionally, he should be held accountable.
