Twitter reacts to Rockets’ slow start in Game 4

Mike D'Antoni

The Houston Rockets got off to a terrible start in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday against the Golden State Warriors, leading to plenty of jokes.

Houston missed its first seven shots of the game and got down 12-0. It took until 6:42 remaining in the first quarter for them to finally get on the board with a James Harden bucket.

Worse yet, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr called a timeout after Houston’s basket. Here’s a look at the funny Twitter reactions to Houston’s poor start.

The Astros have outscored the basketball team.

Touchdown, onside kick, touchdown and the Rockets are right back in this

OK, the shutout has been averted. That’s something. #NBAPlayoffs

Kerr with the quick timeout after Houston's first bucket … apparently the gameplan was "don't let the Rockets score"

Rockets break the shut out. Time out Warriors with the Rockets on a 2-0 run.

Warriors – 12
Rockets – 0
Knicks – 0

The basketball gods deigned to give Chris Paul a conference finals appearance…on the condition it be as humiliating as possible.
