Ukrainian NBA players issue statement about Russian invasion
Ukrainian NBA players Alex Len and Svi Mykhailiuk issued joint statements on Twitter Thursday following Russia’s military actions against their home country.
Both Len and Mykhailiuk issued the same statements through their social media pages where their names were co-signed at the bottom. The two condemned Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine and said they hoped for an end to the “terrible war” as soon as possible.

Russia officially invaded Ukraine this week, with Vladimir Putin declaring war against the country. This is the escalation of a conflict that has been brewing since 2014.
Len, 28, has been in the NBA since being drafted No. 5 overall in 2013. He’s a center with the Sacramento Kings. Mykhailiuk has been in the NBA since 2018 and sees limited action for the Raptors.
