Bobby Portis was ejected from Wednesday night’s New York Knicks 114-96 home loss to the Washington Wizards for committing an absolutely heinous act against Shabazz Napier.
The Knicks had just made a basket to turn it into a 3-point game at 80-77 with about nine minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Knicks called a timeout, and Napier decided to shoot a 3-pointer. Portis blocked the ball and then tossed it at Napier after Napier gave a sarcastic thumbs up.

How dare Portis do such a horrible thing! He could have taken Napier’s head off or broken some bones with a heave of such velocity! I’m not even sure an ejection is enough. The NBA might want to consider a multi-game suspension to rid the game of such horrible nonsense.
And yes, if you couldn’t tell by the computer font, that was all sarcasm.
Portis had seven points and seven rebounds in 15 minutes prior to being tossed.
