Zion Williamson effectively just had another season go down the tubes, but he is still focused on how he can improve for future ones.

Appearing Wednesday on “NBA Today,” ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins made an interesting revelation about the New Orleans Pelicans star forward Williamson. Perkins said that Williamson recently had a “reset” in his camp and has brought some new people into his corner. Among them for Williamson is a nutritionist, Perkins said.

Here is the full video of Perkins’ comments about Williamson.

Williamson, 24, was just shut down for the season by the Pelicans, who are one of the worst teams in the NBA this year at 21-54. He missed months of action due to a hamstring injury earlier in the season as well and thus ends the 2024-25 campaign with just 30 games played (the fourth time in Williamson’s career that he has played 30 games or fewer in a season).

A two-time NBA All-Star, Williamson has long been known for issues with his weight and conditioning. The former has not been much of a problem lately, especially given the recent reports that Williamson had shed an impressive number of pounds. But the durability concerns still speak for themselves with Williamson.

In the past, we heard claims that the former No. 1 overall pick Williamson had a really horrible diet. While Williamson, who averaged 24.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game this season, has come a long way since then, he is still working to improve his eating habits by now hiring a nutritionist to help manage his meals.
