Adrien Broner assault case at bowling alley explained

Adrien Broner gold grill

Adrien Broner is wanted for assault in Cincinnati, which begs the question of how and why he is allowed to fight in Washington D.C. against Ashley Theophane.

The athletic commission in charge of approving the fight card agreed to let Broner box under the condition that he would turn himself in when he returned home to Cincinnati after the fight.

Broner, 26, is wanted for allegedly beating up a man and robbing him outside of a bowling alley. According to TMZ Sports, back in the early morning of Jan. 21, Broner was bowling against another man. The two were wagering high stakes on the bowling matches and Broner had lost a lot of money. The man decided to call it a night and leave with his winnings.

When the man exited the alley, Broner apparently was waiting outside and punched him in the neck and face. Broner allegedly then went to his car, got a gun, then punched the guy a second time, nearly knocking him unconscious. Broner allegedly stole the money from the man.

The alleged victim was hospitalized.

Broner brandishing a weapon and throwing punches when he’s a professional boxer are major issues. He is wanted for felony assault and has agreed to turn himself in.
