Adrien Broner on Emanuel Taylor: I’m going to kick his ass

Adrien Broner gold grill

Adrien Broner may have lost to Marcos Maidana in December, but he sure hasn’t lost any confidence.

Broner (28-1, 22 KOs) is set to face Emanuel Taylor on Saturday in his hometown of Cincinnati. Broner is eager to give his hometown fans a show and is promising “an ass beating,” in his words.

“I’m still AB, I’ll give him an ass beating for sure,” Broner said at his workout on Wednesday. “I didn’t come to play any games. I’m here to kick his ass. I’m not playing around. If I feel like dancing, I’m going to dance. But I’m going to get the job done and it won’t be going to a decision.”

Broner has been criticized for goofing around and being too much of a showman in the ring. He clowned around against Maidana and got knocked down twice. Broner claims to be more disciplined now.

“I have no more flaws. I put down everything. Now I just have fun, I stay in shape and I keep positive people around.”

Oh, and how rich is this? Despite his loss, Broner is still putting himself in the same category as Floyd Mayweather Jr., who is undefeated.

“He’s going to come to fight. When people fight an Adrien Broner or a Floyd Mayweather they’re going to come to fight. I’m sure he trained to his best, he’s in tip-top shape and he’s ready to go.”

Suuuuure Adrien. Keep believing you’re in the same class as Floyd. Not since you got worked by Maidana you’re not. Can you believe that these remarks actually would qualify as humble for Broner?
