Deontay Wilder destroyed Bermane Stiverne on Saturday night in Las Vegas to become the first American heavyweight champion since 2006.
Wilder, now 33-0 with 32 knockouts, won by unanimous decision and barely dropped any rounds to Stiverne, who was holding the WBC title belt. His mother Deborah was so ecstatic about her son’s win that she collapsed in happiness and joy after the decision was announced.
With a move like that, she may top Manny Pacquiao’s mom in our favorite boxer mothers list. Though Mommy D is hard to surpass after seeing the incredible hexes she put on opponents.
