Floyd Mayweather wants Miley Cyrus to be his next ring escort

floyd-mayweather-jrFloyd Mayweather Jr. is known for having some of the most polarizing figures in the entertainment business accompany him to the ring before fights. Whether you love her or despise her, there is really no arguing that Miley Cyrus has perfected the art of creating a buzz. That’s why she makes perfect sense for The Money Team.

During a recent interview with Billboard, Mayweather spoke about some of his favorite musicians and how he chooses the artists who walk him out to the ring.

“When you’re the best, you only want to surround yourself with the best,” Mayweather explained. “(Bieber is) an exceptional artist. He’s the future.”

Apparently Floyd feels that Miley shares some of those characteristics with Bieber.

“I was thinking about letting the twerk queen, Miley Cyrus, bring me out,” he said enthusiastically. “Why not? We’ve gotta call her the twerk queen. Yes, we have to call her that.”

Unfortunately, he’s probably not joking. Mayweather is an expert at maximizing ratings and revenue for everything he does, hence why his Money Mayweather brand is unprecedented across sports. He’d look ridiculous having this nut job by his side as he prepares to defend his title, but that never stopped him before. Bieber looked completely out of place posing with Mayweather after Floyd beat Miguel Cotto, but he was invited back for the Canelo Alvarez fight. Don’t be surprised to see Miley next time.
