GGG beats Kell Brook after corner throws in towel
Gennady Golovkin beat Kell Brook in England on Saturday after Brook’s corner stopped the fight by throwing in the towel during the 5th round.
Brook stood tough with the middleweight champion and arguably won a round during the first four rounds, but his corner saw bad things coming with GGG starting to roll in the 5th round.
Brook’s trainer Dominic Ingle began waving the white towel like a mad man, though referee Marlon Wright did not see it. Ingle had to throw the towel in the ring to get the fight stopped.
