Adonis Stevenson ran into the ring to disrupt things after Sergey Kovalev beat Jean Pascal in Montreal on Saturday night, and he caused a typical boxing promotional ruckus.
The WBC light heavyweight champion, who has ducked and dodged Kovalev, ran into the ring after the HBO fight and began barking at Kovalev, who mostly brushed him aside. But Kovalev did flip Stevenson the bird as you can see in this video:
Kovalev holds three belts at light heavyweight and is undefeated, while Stevenson holds another belt in the same division. A fight between them makes sense, but they have been unable to figure one out. The first problem was Kovalev’s side saying Stevenson was ducking them. Then Stevenson proposed a purse bid, but Kovalev’s side said they couldn’t do that because of contractual obligations to HBO.
Whether or not the two end up fighting, we know there is beef between them.
