Murray State took a savage shot at the SEC after beating Ole Miss to win the NCAA Oxford Regional on Monday night.
The Racers beat Ole Miss 12-11 in a thrilling game at Swayze Field in Mississippi to win Murray State’s first NCAA Regional title in 86 years. The win marked just the 10th time ever that a regional No. 4 seed has reached the NCAA Super Regionals.
Following the big win, the person who was running Murray State’s official X account trolled the SEC with a funny message.

The SEC uses the slogan “It Just Means More.” The phrase alludes to the conference’s reputation for having elite programs and intra-conference games where the stakes tend to be high.
In this instance, it was a team from the Missouri Valley Conference that got the best of one of the SEC’s mighty schools. Murray State beat Ole Miss twice and Georgia Tech once to win the NCAA Regional.
Ole Miss has struggled in recent years, but they won a national title in 2022. Almost no one predicted that Murray State would get the best of the Rebels in an NCAA Regional that was played in Oxford. Perhaps it truly did just mean more to the underdog.
