Arike Ogunbowale wins championship for Notre Dame with miracle shot
Arike Ogunbowale hit a miracle shot to give Notre Dame the women’s college basketball national championship.
With three seconds remaining in regulation, and the scored tied 58-58, Ogunbowale received the inbound pass and launched a three-point shot with her momentum carrying her towards the baseline. In dramatic fashion, the ball found its way through the net.

After an official’s review, 0.1 seconds were added back to the clock. Members of the Mississippi State team who already left the court to head to the locker room had to return.
For Notre Dame, the win secured the school’s second NCAA Women’s Division I Basketball Tournament championship.
