Bill Walton has funny response to UCLA’s anti-USC chant
Bill Walton’s explanation for an anti-USC chant executed by UCLA fans during Saturday’s game between the rival schools was one only Walton could come up with.
During the second half of the USC-UCLA game at Pauley Pavilion, Bruins fans could be heard chanting “F— SC”. To what did Walton attribute the chant? You have to hear it for yourself, though keep in mind that the chant in the background may be offensive.

“They love the Trojans. They’re chanting how much they appreciate them,” Walton said.
Yup, we’re sure that’s what the fans were doing. Walton is known for doing some truly absurd things while on-air during games. It’s not a surprise that he would come up with a sarcastic explanation like this, too.
