Saturday’s Atlantic 10 tournament semi-final game between the Dayton Flyers and Saint Louis Billikens ended with a wild sequence of events.
The favored Billikens held a one-point lead with 20 seconds to go in the game at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa. Dayton was able to corral an offensive rebound off a block, and Jacob Conner knocked down a three to put Dayton ahead 68-66.
On the ensuing possession, Saint Louis’ Robbie Avila stormed down the court and hit a three of his own with just under seven seconds left. Undeterred, center Amael L’Etang was able to tip in a missed shot by Jordan Derkack with 0.3 seconds left, putting Dayton ahead for good 70-69.
THIS WHOLE SEQUENCE.

IT IS DEFINITELY MARCH. pic.twitter.com/eraAwzVoa0
For those keeping track, that is three lead changes and eight total points in a span of about 15 seconds. The end result is the top-seeded Billikens being knocked out.
Dayton advanced to Sunday’s final with the win, where they will face either VCU or Saint Joseph’s. If they can win that game, they would steal a bid at the expense of a bubble team, as they would not be in the field otherwise.
