LSU AD offers no comment on program’s coaching situation
LSU’s athletic director did not offer much about the future of the basketball program now that the team’s season is over.
The Tigers’ season came to an end with a loss to Michigan State in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament on Friday. They have some big questions regarding the status of head coach Will Wade, who has been suspended indefinitely.
LSU AD Joe Alleva said “no comment” twice when asked about the team’s future.

Wade was suspended on March 8 after being caught on a wire talking about an “offer” made to a recruit. The player in question was Javonte Smart, a freshman who was suspended but quickly cleared to return.
Even if LSU somehow finds a way to keep Wade, this situation will loom over him much like a similar one has with Sean Miller at Arizona. Alleva has urged Wade to talk with the school’s administrators, but he has not so far.
