Twitter reacts to Cincinnati’s epic collapse against Nevada
Cincinnati blew a 22-point lead against Nevada in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, and Twitter was not kind with their reactions.
The Wolf Pack trailed 65-43 with under 12 minutes remaining in the game, but they did not quit. They fought back, tied the game in the final seconds, and then won on Josh Hall’s winning shot.
Nevada’s Twitter account freaked out after they won 75-73:

Others on Twitter pointed out the choke job, comeback, and how destroyed the South Region is now.
Move over Virginia. Cincy just stole the goat tag from you. Down 22 with what like 7 minutes?

Man, Mick Cronin may never live this one down….couldn't get his best Cincy team out of the first weekend

Nevada was dead. It was a romp. Somehow, they came back. Unbelievable comeback by Nevada, unbelievable chokejob by a Final Four-feeling Cincinnati team. I’m stunned.

Yes, there have been bigger upsets, but no one in this tournament is having more fun than Eric Musselman.

So how did Nevada complete the turnaround?
“A lot of heart, a lot of determination, no quit, some halftime adjustments … nothing feels better than this!” Wolf Pack head coach Eric Musselman said after the game.
After Nevada’s win, five-seed Kentucky is the highest seeded team remaining in the region. The other teams are Nevada (7), Loyola Chicago (11), and Kansas State (9) facing UMBC (16) for the other slot.
