Report: Art Briles reaches contract settlement with Baylor
Baylor and coach Art Briles are reportedly set to part ways without a protracted fight after all.
According to Jason King of Bleacher Report, Briles and Baylor have reportedly agreed to a contract settlement to square away the remaining eight years and $40 million on his deal.

While it was reported Wednesday that the two sides appeared headed for a settlement, we heard on Thursday that Briles was accusing Baylor of wrongful termination. Perhaps that was just a negotiating ploy to try to push something over the line. It looks like things won’t get as ugly as they could have, at least on this front.
