Cade Foster receives letter of support from George W. Bush
Alabama kicker Cade Foster has probably had plenty of sleepless nights over the past two weeks. The senior missed three field goals in his team’s loss to Auburn, a loss that cost the Crimson Tide a chance at a third straight national championship. After the game, Foster’s teammates defended him against fans who were harassing him on Twitter and sending death threats.
Earlier this week, Foster received a show of support from a former president of the United States of America. George W. Bush sent him the following letter:
Dear Cade (#43), life has it's setbacks. I know! However, you will be stronger with time..Sincerely- George Bush pic.twitter.com/jesykfKpDx

Bush signed the letter “Another 43,” which is reference to Foster’s jersey number and Bush being the 43rd president of the United States.
From what we can see, Foster has handled the backlash from Alabama fans quite gracefully. Football is just a game, but there are plenty of people who don’t seem to understand that. Missing three field goals for a team like Alabama can be a life-changing event. That doesn’t mean it defines Foster’s life.
