Cardale Jones has custom ’12 Gauge’ iPhone

When Ohio State kicked off their football season last year, Cardale Jones was listed third on the quarterback depth chart behind Heisman Trophy candidate Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett. A few months later, Jones was leading the Buckeyes to a national championship over Oregon after both Miller and Barrett were lost to injuries. Now, Jones has a pretty sweet custom phone.

On Tuesday, Jones shared the above photo of his custom scarlet and gray iPhone via his Twitter account. The device contains his initials in large letters in the middle as well as his “12 Gauge” nickname in the lower right hand corner. As the Big Ten Championship Game MVP noted, “It’s levels to this swagg ish.” No argument there.

Perhaps not surprisingly, Jones received less than favorable feedback, prompting him to send a couple of responses.

After some speculation, Jones decided to return to Ohio State, giving head coach Urban Meyer the unenviable task of deciding between Jones, Miller, and Barrett as the starting quarterback for the upcoming season. Whichever way Meyer leans, the Buckeyes will be in great shape to defend their title.
