The postgame handshake between Deion Sanders and Jay Norvell had the potential to be a tense moment, but the two head coaches instead showed respect for one another after a hard-fought battle.
Colorado defeated Colorado State 43-35 on Saturday night in a thrilling double-overtime game. Sanders and Norvell met at midfield afterward and and had what appeared to be a respectful exchange.

Norvell made some comments about Sanders earlier in the week that became the biggest storyline in college football. Sanders took full advantage of the criticism and repeatedly told his players and fans that the matchup had become personal. Colorado ultimately got the win, but Sanders has to respect that the Rams took his team to two overtimes when the Buffaloes were more than a three-touchdown favorite.
One thing is for sure — that handshake looked a lot different than Sanders said it was going to look.
