DJ Uiagalelei makes decision about transfer destination
Former Oregon State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei has made his decision regarding his future.
Uiagalelei will transfer to Florida State for the 2024 season, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN. Uiagalelei had been the Seminoles’ top target to replace Jordan Travis, but had been deciding between Florida State and entering the NFL Draft.

This marks Uiagalelei’s second high-profile transfer of his college career, and takes him back to the ACC, where he got started with Clemson. After an underwhelming stint there as Trevor Lawrence’s successor, he moved to Oregon State, where he passed for 2,638 yards with 27 total touchdowns on the year. He was very quickly linked to the Seminoles once he decided to enter the transfer portal.
Uiagalelei has one year of eligibility remaining, so this is a short-term measure from Florida State’s perspective. Still, the quarterback looked good enough in 2023 that he should keep the Seminoles competitive in 2024.
