Dottie Sandusky in denial, says she loves Jerry and that’s not him

How is it possible that Jerry Sandusky was raping and abusing children in his own home with wife Dottie in the same house and not knowing about any of it? Maybe because she was so far in denial that she refuses to believe any of it.

“I love my husband,” Dottie Sandusky told Centre Daily Times reporter Mike Dawson during a chance meeting.

“He’s not who they say he is,” she said.

Dawson says he ran into Sandusky by a pizza shop and that the TV discussed victim 2 being identified and prepared to sue Penn State. Dottie apparently ignored the TV.

The two met in the ’60s when Jerry was a football player for Penn State, and they have known each other for over 40 years. Dottie is clearly massively in denial. Not only does she still not believe any of it, but she also testified on behalf of her husband in court.

What do you do with someone that much in denial? The first step is admitting the problem.
