Ed Orgeron indicates Joe Brady will remain with LSU in 2020
LSU passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach Joe Brady has been a hot name among NFL coaching circles in recent weeks, but it does not sound like he is going anywhere.
Ed Orgeron told reporters on Tuesday that LSU has been negotiating a new contract with Brady, and the head coach believes “everything’s wrapped up.” That likely means Brady will be getting a raise and potentially a promotion.
Ed Orgeron on Joe Brady: "I do feel like he's a Tiger. I do feel like everything's wrapped up. … It's not completely finalized yet, but we're very close." #LSU

Brady had been mentioned as a top choice for NFL offensive coordinator positions, but it is no surprise LSU doesn’t want to let him go. The 30-year-old joined the Tigers this year after spending two seasons as an offensive assistant with the New Orleans Saints, and he has been credited with helping to turn Joe Burrow into the best quarterback in college football. LSU reportedly paid him around $1.5 million this season, and it seems like they are willing to go even higher.
There was also at least one college team that was interested in Brady as an offensive coordinator, but he is essentially compensated like one with LSU anyway. Many teams believe he could enjoy the same type of success Sean McVay has at the NFL level, so it remains to be seen how long LSU will be able to hold onto him.
