Emmitt Smith’s son EJ reveals his top five schools
Emmitt Smith’s son EJ has already gotten offers from most of the top programs in the country, and the class of 2020 running back appears to be narrowing down his decision.
On Sunday, Smith on Twitter revealed his top five list of schools. His top five includes Texas A&M, Ohio State, Stanford, Florida and Georgia.
It’s that time. Top 5. Thank you family and coaches for guiding me towards making my five decisions. There isn’t an order to my top 5. pic.twitter.com/eBzD0U5NO9

As Tzvi Machlin of College Spun notes, Smith rushed for 890 yards and 12 touchdowns and had 40 catches for 478 yards and five receiving touchdowns this past season as a junior at Dallas Jesuit. He was even better the year before, amassing 1,177 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns on the ground and 540 yards and seven touchdowns receiving. Given his body of work and pedigree, it is no surprise so many schools are interested.
Emmitt Smith, of course, attended Florida before he went on to become an NFL legend. The Gators were one of the first big programs to make a scholarship offer to EJ. 247 Sports seems to believe Stanford and Ohio State are in the lead for the youngster’s commitment.
