Oklahoma Sooners students were trying to get in Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin’s head before Saturday’s game between the two teams.
Sooners students and fans made the most of the rumors linking Kiffin to the vacant Florida head coaching job. As the Rebels took the field, a huge group in the stands did the famed gator chomp.

While Kiffin is unlikely to be bothered by such a gesture, his players might be a different story. They have no doubt heard the noise linking their head coach to the Florida job, and fans were happy to do whatever they could to give themselves a chance at getting inside the heads of their opponents.
Kiffin obviously is not addressing the Florida situation, and it is not yet clear if he is a candidate. However, the Ole Miss coach is linked to virtually every high-profile opening. He has gone 50-19 at Ole Miss and would unquestionably provide a spark to a Florida program that has been inconsistent for the better part of a decade.
The Gators are hunting for a replacement for Billy Napier, but it might be a different ex-Raiders coach they look to when filling the job.
