Louisiana-Monroe coach goes viral for altercation with his O-lineman
Louisiana-Monroe offensive line coach Cam Blankenship is in hot water for a video of him charging at one of his O-linemen.
The ULM Warhawks took on the Marshall Thundering Herd Saturday at Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Huntington, W.Va. A clip of Blankenship emerged from the game showing the coach screaming and throwing his headset on the ground in frustration.
Blankenship’s outburst was directed at offensive lineman Drew Hutchinson, who was apparently not supposed to be on the field. Once Hutchison got back to the Louisiana-Monroe sideline, Blankenship got into the player’s face and shoved him before another player stepped in to try to keep the peace.

ULM ended up losing to Marshall 28-23.
Louisiana-Monroe has since released a statement on X assuring the public that there will be disciplinary action made against Blankenship.
“In Saturday’s game at Marshall, Assistant Coach Cameron Blankenship made physical contact with a ULM student-athlete on the sideline. This behavior is unacceptable and not how ULM football conducts business,” the ULM football program wrote.
“There will be disciplinary action taken against the assistant coach. Because this is a personnel matter, the discipline will be handled internally.”
