LSU fans break out brutal 2-word chant for Brian Kelly
LSU supporters on Saturday let Brian Kelly know exactly where he stands with the team’s fan base.
The Tigers hosted the Vanderbilt Commodores in their penultimate regular season game at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. Three minutes into the game, LSU fell behind 7-0 after giving up a 63-yard touchdown on Vanderbilt’s opening drive.

The fans in the stands were not happy. After the Commodores scored in emphatic fashion, fans broke out a two-word chant to let Kelly know they felt about him.
“Fire Kelly! Fire Kelly!” fans yelled in unison.

LSU rebounded by scoring the game’s next two touchdowns to take a 14-7 lead into the halftime break. But with LSU carrying a three-game losing streak into Saturday’s contest, the final result would probably have little effect on how fans view Kelly.
The Tigers were 6-1 through their first seven games and looked poised to nab a spot in this year’s expanded College Football Playoff. However, back-to-back losses against No. 14 Texas A&M and No. 11 Alabama all but pushed LSU out of contention. Last week’s loss to unranked Florida only made things worse.
If any fans were unsure on how they felt about Kelly before, top quarterback prospect Bryce Underwood’s decommitment from LSU earlier this week may have turned any remaining believers.
