Mack Brown reportedly interested in North Carolina job
The North Carolina Tar Heels fired coach Larry Fedora on Sunday, and a big name reportedly has interest in replacing him.
According to Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman, former Texas coach and current ESPN analyst Mack Brown has significant interest in the North Carolina position, and could bring some big names with him on his staff if he were to get the position.
I also hear Mack Brown is very, very interested in North Carolina job. Could bring former Texas DC Gene Chizik with him and try to bring Kliff Kingsbury as his OC.

Before his stint at Texas, Brown coached the Tar Heels for ten seasons, turning around a moribund program and posting three ten-win seasons. He hasn’t coached since 2013, and he made a few recruiting mistakes toward the end of his tenure, but he’s still a title-winning coach. Of course, even if this report is true, it remains to be seen whether the interest is mutual.
