Maryland loses third player in four months to torn ACL

There is rotten injury luck, and then there is what the Maryland Terrapins football program is going through right now.

Maryland coach Mike Locksley told the media on Tuesday that sophomore linebacker Durell Nchami will miss the 2019 season after suffering a torn ACL during a scrimmage over the weekend, per Don Markus of the Baltimore Sun.

The news comes just a couple weeks after sophomore receiver Jeshaun Jones suffered an ACL tear in training camp earlier this month. Senior safety Antwaine Richardson also tore his ACL during spring camp back in April.

The Terrapins have not had a winning season since 2014, and having to battle the worst injury bug since the 2018 Boston Celtics certainly won’t help any.
