Ohio native Joe Burrow never got the chance to fulfill his dream of being a star at Ohio State University, but the star quarterback clearly still has fans in and around his hometown.
With Burrow having led LSU to an upset win over No. 2 Georgia on Saturday, residents in Ohio noticed at least one Walmart in the area of Athens County — where Burrow grew up — is selling LSU gear.

Burrow played for Athens High School and enrolled at Ohio State, but he got stuck behind JT Barrett and then Dwayne Haskins on the depth chart. He decided to transfer to LSU earlier this year, and the decision paid off. Like the Buckeyes, the Tigers are one of the best teams in the country and a College Football Playoff contender.
Even though things didn’t work out for him at Ohio State, Burrow proved earlier this year that he has no hard feelings toward Buckeye Nation when he paid Haskins a huge compliment. If LSU gear is being sold at stores in Ohio, the respect must be mutual.
