Sherrone Moore is very happy that Alabama’s loss has been Michigan’s gain so far this season.

The No. 20-ranked Wolverines knocked off Wisconsin on Saturday by a final score of 24-10. Running back Justice Haynes led the charge for Michigan on the afternoon with 117 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

After the game, Moore was interviewed by FOX Sports’ Jenny Taft, who asked him about Haynes’ performance. Moore responded by getting in a shot at Alabama for letting Haynes go.

“I’m elated [that Haynes is here],” said Moore. “I feel sorry for the team that let him go. But I’m glad he’s here. Another 100-yard game, and he just continues to perform at a high level.”

Here is the full clip.

The junior Haynes, 21, spent the first two seasons of his college career at Alabama. But he was the clear No. 2 back last season behind Jamarion Miller in Tuscaloosa and decided to enter the transfer portal in Dec. 2024, ultimately ending up at Michigan.

Haynes has made the most of his role as the undisputed lead RB for the Wolverines this year and has now produced 654 rushing yards and eight touchdowns through just the first five games of the season (all of which he has gone for at least 100 yards rushing in). That has helped Michigan start the year at 4-1 and reclaim their place among the top teams in college football after going just 8-5 last season.

Meanwhile, Moore, who is in his second year on the job, definitely loves throwing shade at opponents. Last season, Moore already went viral over his taunt of a major rival program.
