Baylor LB Taylor Young: Art Briles is only responsible for football
Upon firing head football coach Art Briles on Thursday, Baylor University released the findings of an independent review that concluded there were numerous allegations of sexual assault that were covered up by the program. That hasn’t stopped some players from going to bat for Briles on social media.
Baylor linebacker Taylor Young went beyond defending his former coach. Simply put, Young doesn’t believe that Briles is responsible for anything that happens outside the realm of football.
you let go of the man who made this university relevant?
i bet if we was 1-10 this wouldn't even make the local news— 1⃣ (@tyoung_01) May 26, 2016

You can understand players feeling like they know a different side of the man they played for, but what an ignorant thing to say.
Young wasn’t the only player to waste no time jumping to Briles’ defense:
Only reason I'm here today is Coach B.. Took a chance on a skinny ass kid wit barely any offers but had had faith in me and I did it 4 him!!

No one asked Briles or anyone else on his staff to play the role of lead detective in a sexual assault case. But when you allow a player to join your program after he was booted off another team for a rape allegation, you’re doing a lot more than just failing at your job.
The findings of fact released by Baylor are alarming and disgusting.
