Texas fans melt down during poor first half against Maryland

Texas fans did not need very long before starting to melt down during a poor first half against Maryland in the Longhorns’ season opener on Saturday.
The fan threads on Texas message board Orangebloods were filled with concerns as Texas fell behind 24-7 in the second quarter:

Others on Twitter expressed similar concerns:
In football you always prepare for hitting the fan. Well Texas football, it hit the fan and has sprayed across the ceiling. Time to see what this team is really made of!

I really hope the first quarter is not an indication of what this Texas football season will be. I really can’t take this another year.

And of course Texas became mocked by others:
Texas game going poorly enough that Tom Herman might actually prefer answering questions about the strip club visit

Hard to believe that Coach Strip Club's team lacks discipline. #hookem

The Longhorns’ offense finally showed some signs of life and put together a touchdown drive to make it 24-14 and quiet some of the concerns.
