Tua Tagovailoa a game-time decision against LSU with ankle injury

Alabama cruised to an easy victory over Arkansas a little over a week ago even with Tua Tagovailoa out nursing an ankle injury, but they may need their starting quarterback when they take on LSU this weekend. As of now, Tagovailoa has at least a chance to play.

Nick Saban told reporters on Monday that Tagovailoa will be a game-time decision against the Tigers.

Tagovailoa suffered a high-ankle sprain during Alabama’s win over Tennessee last month, and there has been no timetable placed on his return. The bye may have come at a perfect time for the Crimson Tide this past weekend, as it gave the Heisman Trophy candidate an extra week to recover.

Tagovailoa, who has 27 touchdowns compared to just two interceptions this season, has supposedly been recovering better than expected from the ankle injury. Unless he’s far from 100 percent, we would be surprised if he misses Saturday’s game against LSU.
